Pretty Pink Party

Ruffle Cake | Table Setting | Peonies | Garland | Headband | Confetti System

Today, I have been planning my sister's baby shower. My first niece is due at the end of October. I can hardly wait for her arrival. I finished a few proofs for the invite and am waiting to see which design her mommy and daddy like best. Above are other ideas to shower this new family with lots of baby love.

Most all decor will be diy. I look forward to getting started. For months now, I have been obsessed with the confetti system. I love their designs, products... just wow. but their prices are just a tad out of my price range. :) So, I found a tutorial on how to make a version of this lovely {pictured on the bottom right}. I made one for Emery's 2nd birthday party that is now hanging in my office at work. It is simple to make and will save a hundred dollars - literally.

Modern Rustic Baby Shower

This weekend, we hosted a baby shower for my bestie! I had so much fun pulling all the details together. We wanted the theme to be rustic yet modern. Every detail surrounded pulling those two styles together. The shower was a few miles out of town in a glass cabin on a lake. To help guests find the location, we placed wooden signs with fun little sayings every few turns. For centerpieces, we decorated a slab of wood with mason jars filled with pink roses and orange and white lillies. Rocks were placed in the bottom of the mason jars with twine tied around the rim to top off the rustic look. Little wood pieces were placed on the dessert and drink tables to carry the theme throughout the cabin.

Finger foods filled the dessert table. Cupcake toppers were as simple as a stick, ribbon, and button. We placed aluminium foil around the bottom of each stick to protect the cupcakes. Fruit kabobs and veggie cups resembled the colors of the shower. Sweet and salty rolo pretzel bites complemented the rustic theme.

The other hostesses pulled together some fun games and crafts. We decorated onesies for every month of Baby Chambers' first year. Then, we guessed the candy bar in each diaper. We also voted on names for Baby Chambers, yet we are still waiting for a decision to be made. :)

Each guest received a birdseed ornament placed in a paper bag decorated with washi tape, burlap, or chevron print.

We had a great time celebrating this little man! He is already catching the women!

Thanks, ladies, for helping make this day extra special for little Buford :)
