getting in a routine.
May 30, 2012 Since I went part time a month ago, Emery and I are finally getting in a routine on our days home. Today is my ninth day home with her. Everyday has confirmed in me our decision was the right one. I am thoroughly enjoying every moment.
The mornings are typically "learning time." I have found that Emery is most attentive and participates better in the mornings. We do art, sing, dance, practice gymnastics, play instruments, and learn with flash cards. Emery has learned so much in such a short amount of time. She has the hand motions down to all the popular toddler songs like the "itsy bitsy spider" and "head, shoulders, knees, and toes." We have learned the major animals and their sounds. She is constantly singing the ABC's (but only until the letter H). Everyday, I add something else. Today, I asked her to hand me each animal as I asked for it. She passed with flying colors.
This makes my heart smile to watch her learn and grow.
I'm always looking for more ways to help her learn. What are some of your creative learning ideas?
