staying home.

Yesterday was mine and Emery's first day home together. Oh, I love this girl! We started the morning off at the local coffee shop and picked up a few wooden puzzles at the antique store.  Then, we spent the morning learning and coloring. Lately, I have been on the outlook for preschool learning tools. She gets so excited when we go through flashcards, repeating the words back to me. We also found twist up crayons and restickable stickers! 

During nap time, I finished a couple loads of laundry, dishes, and spent sometime reading through Nehemiah.

In the afternoon, we went to her two year checkup. Her doctor showed us a picture of our first visit. Rick and I looked very tired that day two years ago.  Crazy how things change. :)  New mommies, you will get sleep soon! Promise!

By the time Rick came home, most the domestic stuff was taken care of and the rest can wait until later. I look forward to care-free evenings with my love very soon!

I have many ideas for these extra hours I have gained. I think I'm going to love this new season of our life!
